Wound Dressing & Suturing Workshop
We are excited to share the insights gained from our recent workshop on wound dressing and suturing, which was held on April 2. The event was a huge success, with our students acquiring valuable knowledge and practical skills in wound care. During the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to learn the following:
1. Proper wound assessment: Understanding the types of wounds and assessing their severity is crucial for effective treatment. Our instructor, Mrs. Rozhgar, guided students through the process of thorough wound assessment.
2. Wound cleaning and preparation: Proper cleaning and preparation of wounds are essential steps in promoting healing and preventing infection. Students learned the suitable practices for wound cleaning and preparation techniques.
3. Suturing techniques: Suturing is a fundamental skill for healthcare professionals involved in wound care. Participants received hands-on training in various suturing techniques, including simple interrupted sutures, mattress sutures, and more.
4. Infection control: Preventing infection is a top priority in wound care. Students learned about infection control measures to minimize the risk of wound complications.
We will continue to provide high-quality education and training to our students. Stay tuned for future educational events and workshops.
